A beautiful hamlet is for sale with an ancient abbey and land nestled in the hills above the Mugello valley and crossed with the Via degli Dei, a renowned pathway that connects Bologna and Florence, Tuscany. Rich in art, history and charm, this legendary complex was built in 1084 by Count Ugo of Tuscany and later passed hands to the Medici family. In the 18th century, the monastery was completely restored and entrusted to a community of Trappists. The first "Trappa" was founded in Buonsollazzo, a word derived from the Latin bonum solacium or "Buonsolatio," which expresses good exposure to the sun. Careful restoration of this enchanting hamlet would convert the entire property into a sumptuous private residence or an impressive luxury holiday let. The impressively spacious main building of the Abbey consists of the ancient church, the former monks' lodgings, rooms for daily monastic practices, and the remains of ancient cloisters supported by beautiful columns. Antique barrels and tools used by the monks for the production and storage of wine and oil are also still present on site. Adjacent to the main body, there are various outbuildings and an historic underground passage that connects one of the annexes to the Meer bekijken Minder bekijken Borgo con Antica Abbazia in vendita a Firenze, Toscana.
