We used the services of a well-respected local architect who has been involved in a number of properties in The Strand and had excellent trades people to convert our dream into reality. Although we won’t after all be living here, we hope that new owners will enjoy and appreciate everything this property now has to offer. The house is in a wonderful location overlooking the green and the seafront while The Strand includes an eclectic mix of shops and eateries and on the other side of the green there is the historical bandstand, a cycle lane to Deal, the Downs Sailing Club and the beach. We can walk into Deal town centre and enjoy the wonderful independent shops and eateries including the Dining Club, The Blue Pelican and Little Harriet’s tea rooms. There is also Deal seafront and the famous pier as well as the Saturday market, while Tides swimming pool complex is not far away. The fast train from the mainline station at Deal can whisk you to London in under an hour and a half. For golfing enthusiasts there are the Kingsdown and Walmer and the Royal Cinque Ports golf clubs and, if you want to go slightly further afield, there is also the championship course at Royal St George's as well as Princes, while other sports clubs include rugby, tennis and bowls. There are excellent educational facilities within the vicinity with two local primary schools and grammar schools available in Dover, Sandwich, Folkestone and Canterbury as well as private schools in Dover and Canterbury.

- Garden Il nous a fallu trois ans pour créer avec amour cette maison de bord de mer très spéciale, calme et paisible. Nous avons utilisé les services d’un architecte local très respecté qui a été impliqué dans un certain nombre de propriétés à The Strand et avons eu d’excellents artisans pour transformer notre rêve en réalité. Bien que nous ne vivrons pas ici, nous espérons que les nouveaux propriétaires apprécieront tout ce que cette propriété a maintenant à offrir. La maison est dans un endroit magnifique surplombant le vert et le front de mer tandis que The Strand comprend un mélange éclectique de boutiques et de restaurants et de l’autre côté du green, il y a le kiosque à musique historique, une piste cyclable vers Deal, le club de voile des Downs et la plage. Nous pouvons nous promener dans le centre-ville de Deal et profiter des merveilleuses boutiques et restaurants indépendants, notamment le Dining Club, le Blue Pelican et les salons de thé Little Harriet’s. Il y a aussi le front de mer de Deal et la célèbre jetée ainsi que le marché du samedi, tandis que le complexe de piscines Tides n’est pas loin. Le train rapide depuis la gare principale de Deal peut vous emmener à Londres en moins d’une heure et demie. Pour les amateurs de golf, il y a les clubs de golf Kingsdown et Walmer et Royal Cinque Ports et, si vous voulez aller un peu plus loin, il y a aussi le parcours de championnat au Royal St George’s ainsi que Princes, tandis que d’autres clubs sportifs incluent le rugby, le tennis et le bowling. Il y a d’excellents établissements d’enseignement dans les environs avec deux écoles primaires locales et des lycées disponibles à Douvres, Sandwich, Folkestone et Canterbury, ainsi que des écoles privées à Douvres et Canterbury.
