The Cannaregio sestiere is the second largest in Venice after Castello and the most populated. In this sestiere is the Ghetto di Venezia, which can be reached by crossing the Ponte delle Guglie bridge and walking along the Strada Nova, the main artery of the whole, leading from Santa Lucia station to Rialto. This approximately 25-minute journey begins at the foot of Ponte degli Scalzi and the church of Santa Maria degli Scalzi and ends in Campo dei Santi Apostoli. The flat enjoys an excellent location convenient to both the Church of Santi Apostoli and the Miracoli area, as well as the renowned Malibran theatre, and makes it possible to reach the city's most important and famous sights in just a few minutes. We reach this wonderful flat in the heart of Venice, in the suggestive Cannaregio district, in the exclusive area of Santi Apostoli. Situated on the first floor of a sumptuous historic building, it has been skilfully subjected to a recent conservative renovation that has preserved the original architectural details and improved energy efficiency, with wooden frames with thermal break. The history of the building dates back to the 1400s, and its illustrious past is documented in ancient maps. In the 17th century it was leased to Baron Leopoldo Tassis for the management of the post office in Flanders, it belonged to the Tron family from 1661 and to the Conti Donà Dalle Rose family in the 19th century, and in 1934 it was finally acquired by the current owner family. During the 19th century, the area saw the silting up of the Barba Frutariol brook, on which the property's terrace now stands, and the probable masonry of the portico with its columns and wellhead, elements subject to monumental restrictions. The independent entrance, on the ground floor, is protected by a picturesque Venetian courtyard that lends intimacy. The courtyard also houses access to a small exclusive storage room. Inside, we find the spacious living area with a sitting room and dining room, where fine parquet floors create a cosy atmosphere. The eat-in kitchen is functional, the master bedroom bright and finely finished, the study a quiet retreat for work or relaxation. The bathroom, elegant and modern, is equipped with every comfort. A small terrace and a convenient storage room complete the solution, making it a fascinating combination of history, elegance and comfort, in the heart of Venice.
